What You Missed at the Biggest Marketing Event in Lagos!
If you weren’t at The Kontent Hub Seminar last week, let’s just say you missed big time! Yes, the Lagos sun was blazing at its usual 180°C intensity outside, but inside the atmosphere was even hotter. We didn’t just host a seminar; we hosted a revolution.
With over 100 ambitious business owners in the room. We watched founders move from "clueless and overwhelmed" to informed” as they crafted their entire 2026 marketing strategies from scratch, right there in their seats.
But because we believe in brand humanization, we’re taking you behind the curtain of what went down. Here is the "tea":

  • Temileyi Iwelu kicked things off by explaining why you need a value proposition and a Unique Selling Point in a way every Nigerian understands:
“Why do you ignore Mama Basirat and trek further down to buy pepper from Ma Salewa in the middle of Mile 12 market?” It’s the "fisi." It’s the way she greets you. It’s the extra effort she makes that the other person doesn't. That "fisi" is your USP, it’s the reason customers will bypass your competitors to find you".
  • Then Adeife Adeoye took over to talk about Attention. In a world where everyone is shouting, how do you make people actually stop and look at you? Adeife explained that turning strategy into attention is like being the only person in a loud crowd with a clear, interesting story. You don't need a megaphone if what you’re saying is exactly what the person is thinking. She showed us how to take a dry business plan and flip it into content that grabs people by the throat.
  • Damilola Adeniji wrapped up the expert sessions by talking about the only thing that really matters: The "Credit Alert." Damilola’s session was the "finisher." He showed everyone how to turn that "Attention" into "Customers" without begging. It’s about building a path so smooth that by the time the customer realizes they are in a sales funnel, they’ve already typed in their PIN and hit "Transfer.
One of the best parts was when we put three real founders on the spot. Seyi Olaniyan of Yellow Life HQ, Nimi Adegbite of Cirvee, and Tife Pariola of Sneaklin sat down to talk about the "ugly" side of building from scratch.
They didn't just talk about their wins; they talked about the "trenches."
  • They shared the marketing mistakes that nearly cost them everything.
  • They talked about the hard decisions they had to make when the "Lagos factor" tried to slow them down.
  • We even had Shem Kadir Okoro dive into how Trib3 Lagos achieved real brand growth. Seeing the behind-the-scenes of the very venue we were sitting in made every strategy feel possible.
It’s not every day you get 100+ ambitious people in one spot, all focused on one goal. Obviously we had Founders exchanging business cards; they were literally solving each other's problems while networking.
If you’re feeling like you missed out, don't worry we've got more coming. Marketing is moving fast, and we are committed to making sure you don't get left behind.
The Kontent Hub is a creative marketing agency that stays ahead of all the new schemes and trends so you don't have to. We help your business grow by doing the heavy lifting of strategy and storytelling for you.
